Sina grew up in a remote forest village playing “Hide from the Nomad” with the other children, decently close to the border but never caught up in any real conflict. When she was old enough to leave home, she chose to become a Scout and was enlisted to help the army before the peace treaty was created. On one of Sina’s first missions she was caught by the Nomad Isya and his partner Taska. After a bit of speaking they let her go, and she never told the army what had happened. During the peace years, Sina took odd Scout jobs like escorting the writer Annelie through Nomad lands. Here she met Ana and Nadya, and caught up with Taska again briefly. Later, she was reunited with Isya and Taska under different circumstances, and Isya declared his interest in her before parting—knowing that Sina was going back to her country and Isya would be fighting against them in the war. Most recently, she has found Isya again at Ciar’s rebellion camp, and they have rekindled their connection.
